What is Swiss Machining?
Swiss Machining is basically the same as regular CNC turning, but designed for the efficient production of large series. The difference lies in the way we have organized this at ANKRO.
Our machines are equipped with bar feed systems that can handle bar lengths of up to 2 meters. You fill the feed once, set up the machine, and let it run. Without the need for constant supervision by personnel, the machine produces identical plastic parts for hours on end.
What is special about our approach? After the first machining operation, it is possible to transfer the product to a Z-axis of the main spindle. This means that the second machining operation can take place directly in the same machine. The product does not need to be removed manually or re-clamped.
Think, for example, of hollow shafts that need to be machined on both sides, or complex cylinders with different diameters. This integrated approach ensures that tolerances remain consistent; there are hardly any deviations.
